Clubs and Associations

TrampingInternational students will be pleasantly surprised at the variety of clubs and associations in Palmerston North. Whether you enjoy shooting or quilting, Palmerston North has it all.

Although many education providers sponsor their own clubs and teams, students can choose to join organisations outside of their schools. National sports are netball or rugby.  Less physical pursuits of chess or bridge allow international students to meet new people who share similar interests while delighting in the social interaction that being part of a recreational club has to offer.

Cultural and historical associations such as the Manawatu Scottish Association, the Red Ravens and the Phoenix Medieval Re-enactment groups allow imaginations to run away. Toastmasters and Dance groups are for the very social.
