New Zealanders are world renowned for their adventure exploits, with Sir Edmund Hillary being one of the most widely recognised, for his efforts in conquering Mt Everest. 

The region of Manawatu is full of such adventure-oriented people.  Here, great opportunities exist to enjoy adventure in the outdoors.  Within the city of Palmerston North, you are able to learn to kayak and rock climb, and within a short drive the rivers and mountains offer endless fun trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, bridge swinging and skiing.
